About

Kasia’s drawing practice investigates time, space and memory, as a means of questioning her own identity, belonging and being.

Using the ephemeral methods of creation, erasure, and destruction, her drawings represent a healing process during which she processes premature displacement and a nostalgia for her futures passed. The outcomes intertwine imagery from memory recall as well as words reflecting and mapping the artist’s thoughts and positioning at the time.

Tatys is an artist based in Lancaster and a recent Lancaster University graduate. Last year she co-founded the artist collective “The GAP Studio” in Morecambe. Most recently she was part of a group show “False Memory” at the Rugby Art Gallery and Museum.
